African Literature in the Digital Age

The book explores the transformative development in Nigeria and Kenya, both significant countries in African literature and two of the continent's largest digital technology hubs. Adenekan argues that writers are putting their work on cyberspace because communities are emerging from this space, and because increasing numbers of Africans use the internet as part of their day-to-day engagement with their societies and the world.

WATCH

Samba (Showmax)

The soap opera looks at the resilient role of African women in society today as we follow the lives of two women in positions of power who struggle to cope with the chaos of their domestic lives. Katrine and Noella, two delightful divas in their late twenties obviously married to the wrong men, run a fast-rising African fashion house. The vibrancy and volatility of the setting of this high-stakes drama are matched only by the bright, changing colours of a chameleon.

STREAM

What she finds is a world of exploited women and ruthless violence. Featuring an all-star cast, including Sharon Ooja, Omoni Oboli and Blossom Chukwujekwu.
