DEATH TOLL RISES TO 337

THE death toll from last week’s unrest and looting has risen to 337, the government said this week. Acting Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni briefed the media on the police investigation into the unrest which affected Gauteng and KwaZuluNatal. Meanwhile, the South African Human Rights Commission said it was investigating the killing of about 20 people in Durban, criminal activities and allegations of discrimination. | Political Bureau
